To add a new product to your WooCommerce store, follow these steps:
Navigate to Add New Product:
Go to Products > Add New.
Product Title:
Enter the product name in the Product Name field.
Product Description:
Add a detailed product description in the main text editor. This will appear on the product page.
The Product Data section is where you configure the details of your product. It includes several tabs:
General
Price:
Set the Regular Price.
Optionally, set a Sale Price.
Inventory
SKU and Stock Status:
Enter the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) if applicable.
Manage stock status and quantity.
Enable Manage stock? to set stock quantity and allow backorders.
Shipping
Shipping Details:
Enter weight, dimensions, and shipping class if applicable.
Linked Products
Upsells and Cross-sells:
Link related products to encourage additional purchases.
Attributes
Product Attributes:
Add custom attributes for variations like size, color, etc.
Advanced
Purchase Note and Menu Order:
Enter a purchase note to send to the customer after purchase.
Set the menu order for custom ordering.
Variations (for Variable Products)
Add Variations:
If your product has variations (e.g., different sizes or colors), select Variable product from the Product Data dropdown.
Add variations and set their specific attributes.
Product Image:
Set the main product image by clicking Set product image in the Product Image box.
Product Gallery:
Add additional images to the product gallery by clicking Add product gallery images.
Publish Product:
Once all details are filled in, click Publish to make the product live on your store.
To update an existing product, follow these steps:
Navigate to Products:
Go to Products > All Products.
Edit Product:
Find the product you want to edit and click on its title or the Edit link.
Make Changes:
Update any product details as needed.
Update Product:
Click Update to save your changes.
Organize your products using categories and tags.
Add Categories:
Go to Products > Categories.
Add new categories by entering the name and slug.
Add Tags:
Go to Products > Tags.
Add new tags by entering the name and slug.
